Kevin Murphy holds a B.A. In Accounting from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, MN, graduating in 1975. He began his career as a young CPA auditing companies and non-profits of all sizes. Now retired, he held senior management positions in the trucking, food processing and lead-acid battery recycling industries. A lifelong learner, he has immersed his retirement years in research and writing about America's long civil rights struggle from the Civil War to the 1965 Voting Rights Act. The brutal 1955 kidnapping, torture and lynching of Emmett Louis Till in the Mississippi Delta, the subject of this documentary, is one such example.

Lillian Ramos is the Co-Owner and Creative Director of both Pichardo Productions, LLC and Pichardo Creative Collective, Inc.
A versatile visual storyteller, she is a documentarian, filmmaker, photographer, and digital film editor whose work spans social impact documentaries, commercial projects, and music videos.
Lillian’s editing and creative direction reflect a keen eye for detail and a deep sensitivity to story. Her film credits include The River, an investigative documentary on the legacy of Emmett Till, Jermaine Greaves, and a growing portfolio of commercial and music video projects that center authenticity and impact.
Whether behind the camera or in the edit bay, Lillian is committed to crafting visuals that resonate. Through her work with Pichardo Productions and the Collective, she helps shape narratives that elevate underrepresented voices and contribute to a more inclusive storytelling landscape.

JOSE M. PICHARDO JR.
CO-DIRECTOR/AERIAL CINEMATOGRAPHER
Jose M. Pichardo Jr. is a licensed Part 107 drone pilot, documentary filmmaker, and media educator based in Bayonne, NJ. With expertise spanning aerial cinematography, lighting, grip work, and editing, he has worked on award-winning projects including An Army Rising Up (PBS) and Resilience in Communities, East Harlem. Jose is Co-Owner of Pichardo Productions, LLC, where he blends technical precision with creative vision to tell stories rooted in social justice, civil rights, and community resilience. His collaborations with the Mississippi Delta Film Academy and universities nationwide underscore his dedication to cultural preservation and truth-driven filmmaking.

DR. PABLO CORREA JR.
TECHNICAL CONSULTANT
Dr. Pablo Correa, Director: With a background in documentary filmmaking and a passion for socialjustice, he has directed several award-winning documentaries focusing on themes of civil rights,community activism, and historical narratives. He holds three degrees from Florida State University,where he developed his skills in storytelling and visual communication. In addition to his film work,he serves as the Program Director and Assistant Professor of Digital Media and Communication atthe University of Saint Joseph in Hartford, CT. His previous projects, including Fannie Lou Hamer’sAmerica and An Army Rising Up, have received significant recognition.Fannie Lou Hamer’s America premiered nationally in 2022, showcasing the life and impact of a keyfigure in the Civil Rights Movement. The film is currently screening through PBS, reaching audiencesnationwide, and was selected for the 2024 American Film Showcase, emphasizing its significance inAmerican film diplomacy. This selection allows for screenings at U.S. Embassies and Consulatesworldwide, facilitating international dialogue on civil rights issues. In this project, he served ascinematographer and website designer.An Army Rising Up was recently selected for broadcast by PBS this year, broadening its accessibilityto the public. The film won Best Documentary Short at the South Georgia Film Festival, which atteststo its quality and impact, and has been featured at the Carrboro Film Festival in North Carolina,where it received positive feedback from both audiences and critics alike.
